{"id":154,"date":"2019-05-07T13:38:50","date_gmt":"2019-05-07T12:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ase.in.tum.de\/cseet2020\/?page_id=154"},"modified":"2020-08-11T19:46:56","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T18:46:56","slug":"call-for-workshops","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ase.in.tum.de\/cseet2020\/index.php\/call-for-workshops\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Workshop Proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As well-established tradition, the Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training (CSEE&amp;T) is an academic conference providing a platform for software engineering educators as well as industrial trainers to communicate on a variety of topics and actual issues related to software engineering education, training, and professionalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The special theme of CSEE&amp;T 2020 will be \u201c<strong><em>Educating for the Future<\/em><\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CSEE&amp;T 2020 particularly invites proposals for half-day or full-day <strong>highly collaborative workshops and tutorials and practice &amp; methods presentations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Highly Collaborative Workshops (HCW, 3 pages maximum)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ase.in.tum.de\/cseet2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CSEET20_CfW_final-new-header.pdf\">Download the PDF of the Call!<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ase.in.tum.de\/cseet2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CSEET20_CfW_final-new-header.pdf\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It\nis intended that the conference will include a number of open half-day or\nfull-day workshops. The workshops enable groups of common interest to exchange\nexperiences and viewpoints in a focused manner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshop\norganizers should have a strategy for attracting attendance (and stimulate for\nsubmissions) based on objective criteria, for example, through a short refereed\nposition paper. Other approaches are permitted as long as they are clearly\nspecified in the workshop&#8217;s call for participation. Workshop organizers are\nresponsible for authoring a call for participation and for advertising their workshops\nin appropriate places to attract attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nworkshop proposal (not more than 3 pages) should include the following: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>workshop title, objectives, duration (half or full day)<\/li><li>relevance of the workshop to the conference <\/li><li>key organizer&#8217;s name, affiliation and a brief biography, plus the names, affiliations and brief biographies of those who will assist the organizer in the organization and conduct of the workshop (typically 1 to 4 such assistants should be sufficient) <\/li><li>strategy for publication of the workshop and expected number of participants <\/li><li>details of any requests for pre-workshop input (e.g. position papers) and how such will be moderated and used <\/li><li>workshop activities and format <\/li><li>any formal workshop outputs <\/li><li>strategy for judging the workshop\u2019s success<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizers\nof the accepted workshops will be required to submit a paper indicating the\ntheme, format and activities of the workshop plus any appropriate background\ninformation. This along with any accepted position papers will be included in\nthe Proceedings of the Conference. The total page length devoted to the\nworkshop in the proceedings will be limited to 25 pages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All attendees at a workshop, including the organizer for the workshop plus any attending assistants, must register as conference delegates before the camera-ready deadline. The workshop organizer(s) will be responsible for collecting all camera-ready versions of accepted position papers within due time. The workshop language will be English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Format and Submission Procedures<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2020 CSEE&amp;T will continue to use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/conferences\/publishing\/templates.html\">IEEE double column format<\/a>&nbsp;for its proceedings. All submissions must conform to this format, and must be within the page lengths specified for the class of submission. Submissions that do not adhere to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ase.in.tum.de\/cseet2020\/index.php\/submission\/\">formatting guidelines<\/a> or do exceed the page limits, will be desk rejected without further review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s>All proposals must be submitted via email to: <a href=\"mailto:cseet2020organization-ase@in.tum.de\">cseet2020organization-ase@in.tum.de<\/a>. <\/s>Submission deadline has passed.
